Junction City at Patsiliga Museum on Fielders Mill Road:
"Patsiliga Museum, Inc. will present 'Harvest Days in Old Talbot' on Saturday and Sunday, November 3 & 4, 2012. The activities for the weekend will be centered around on of Talbot County's oldest business, Fielder's Water Powered Grist Mil. There has been a mill at this same location since the 1840's and visitors will be able to see the grinding of corn and wheat into meal, flour, and grits during the Harvest Days event. There will also be grinding and then cooking of sugar can into syrup.
Logs will be sawn into lumber, peanuts will be boiled, hoecakes baked, there will be good music, and lots of old-fashioned fun for all ages! The goal of the event is to provide visitors the opportunity to experience the sights, sounds, and smells of a by-gone era.
You can bring a picnic lunch and spend the day or you can purchase hot dogs, hamburgers, or barbecue from the Junction City Fire Department.
Admission is $5 for adults and children under 5 are admitted for free. (All funds collected go the the Patsiliga Museum to cover the expenses of the Harvest Days event.)"
